Was referred to this bar for Illini games from the board room podcast. Solid chill spot for games with a fun atmosphere and good food. Good location and not to overwhelming compared to some of the other Illini bars in town.

This place has amazing tavern style pizza. Get the supreme pizza and add spicy Giardinaiera, we’ll done!

I've been going to Finleys for more than ten years at this point, so I guess I should finally get around to leaving a review. I feel like this is one of the only places in the neighborhood where you can go out and experience a fun atmosphere, solid food, reliable service... and not spend a small fortune. Things I really like about Finley Dunnes Tavern: 1. 2.50 PBR drafts 2. The Ryan Burger, Guinness Brat, Wings, seasoned fries, and to a slightly lesser extent the tavern style pizzas, the Chicago Dog, and the BLT 3. They play the sound for whatever the primary sporting event is that night 4. Golden tee and darts 5. Great folks behind the bar serving up food and drinks who take care of you even when the place is packed 6. Oh Yeah Bombs 7. The combination of St Patty's Day, March Madness, and their seasonal corned beef sandwiches I'm sure I'm forgetting some things, but TLDR: this is my favorite spot to hang out with friends and/or watch sports in the city of Chicago.

Wings were great, service was good even though it was busy. We went on dart night so it was packed and loud! Not ideal for a friend meet up and chat but we'll definitely be back

This review is for the carrots and those who love carrots. Have you ever wanted to bite into a carrot that just tastes like a carrot is meant to taste? These are sweet (but not too sweet), crunchy (the perfect crunch), and full of flavor (carrot). You haven’t had a carrot until you’ve had a Finley Dunne’s Carrot. Edit: the celery is also good

Louren was great bartender! She made our day!

Packed for an Illini game, but accommodating of my need for the Marquette game on TV. Decent beer selection, clean lines, and handled the fan volume with aplomb. A tad loud because of boisterous fans, but even over brunch hour their kitchen kept up. Pretty good pub food if that is what you're looking for.

Once upon when I first came here, I had terrible service ( 6 years ago), and it was the biggest reason I never came back for so long. But there was a time I came after that to meet a friend, and I met the most amazing people of my life. Not only do they make you feel like family, but they also have amazing drinks. The staff is amazing. I love taylor, slone, eric, kyle, Teresa, Peter, and Lauren. They honestly make you feel like family, and i hoesntly mean that, and I can appreciate that about them. I can honestly say that the people who opened this place knew what they were doing, hiring these wonderful people. I come back again and again because of these lovely souls. Come here, eat food, drink, and have a good time because they will always make you feel welcome. Especially taylor and slone, they are the besy bartenders I have ever met.
